(NYSE: MATX), a premier ocean transportation and logistics company, has been honored by CIO magazine as a recipient of the 2012 CIO 100 award.  The 25th annual award program recognizes organizations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology (IT).  This is the second time Matson has achieved this level of recognition by the publication, with the first honor occurring in 2010.

Matson was recognized for its multi-year IT initiative, known as miLogistx, that was designed to support growth for its logistics subsidiary, Matson Logistics, Inc.
